Is it legal to carry a pocketknife in Washington D.C.?

I carry a pocket knife wherever I go, since it is one of the most useful tools available. It’s versatile and easy to carry. It has a blade of about 2.25 inches long and 1.5 inches wide (yes, it’s weirdly shaped). It’s all metal (including the handle). Is something like that legal to carry in Washington D.C.?
Since people are trampling all over our Second Amendment rights, I have to be careful not to break the law.
spidergoat2- Well it doesn’t say knives or firearms. It only says “arms”. And I see many gun control policies as violations of the Second Amendment. I live in NYC so our right to bear arms is very limited and controlled

I go to DC every day with a knife that size. No issues except once when I tried to get in a Federal Court, but that’s true everywhere. The knife is legal.

The second amendment deals with firearms so it has nothing to do with knives.

There are no proposed changes to the second amendment. Someone may be trying to prank you about that.
