If your camping can you legally carry a sheathed bowie knife?

Im a big outdoors man and im known for being one and i just purchased a 13″ Survival knife and it can be worn on the waist.
i mean it was bigger than i thought when i purchased it. but i want to use it strictly for camping reasons/survival.
so what are the laws on carrying a sheathed knife on the waist?

In the woods yes you can carry a knife or a machete. Just dont go walking around town with it on your waist. Its a tool that is used commonly in the woods. I wouldnt worry about it
