How much is a Classic Les Paul Epiphone electric worth?

All the information I have is that its a Gray burl wood finish Les Paul Epiphone Classic electric guitar. A co-worker offered it to me for 400 dollars. I haven’t seen it yet but he said it was in good condition.

There are so many models of the Epi Les Paul and so many different price ranges that I’m not sure based on just that description. Basically any import guitar is only worth about half of what it cost new, so just ask to see the receipt and give him from 50% to 60% of what he paid, that is fair considering he is the one “trying” to sell it, you are not “asking” to buy it. It is not a particular guitar that you have been searching for and are dying to have or anything.
