How to close a Schrade Linerlock Essentials Pocket Knife?

I recently bought a Schrade Linerlock Essentials Pocket Knife for my friend for christmas, however I can’t close it. Any ideas?

liner lock has a springy part in the gap where the blade will end up going. usually if you hold it where the blade is up, sharp edge toward you, hold the blade (from behind) with the left hand, the spring part is where your thumb will push if you put your thumb over the opening where the blade is going to go with the tip just touching the base of the blade. You push the spring part to your left with your thumb and the lock is released, close the blade just a little, move your thumb and you can slowly close the blade. Unless there’s some kind of “lock” like CRKT has, that should be it.
