What is the symbol in the background on the Coulter clan crest of arms?

I’m looking up crests for a class project based on my classmates history and on the Coulter crest of arms (white background with three blue stripes across) there is a symbol with a three pointed treebase look and three balls on top like the symbol of a pawnbroker. What is this symbol?
Okay thanks. Still have to do it fake or real or whatever. But what is that thing that looks like a lamppost when you google image “coulter coat of arms”? Can someone just tell me that?

Everything Shirley T says is perfectly correct. If your teacher has set you as a project “find out the meaning of your family crest”, this is a stupid and anti-educational assignment.

You can see this for yourself if you just Google “Coulter crest” and look at the sites you get – utterly different arms are shown on different sites. That’s because different people called Coulter have at various times been granted different arms. And, unless you are a direct legitimate descendant of one of those people, you have no crest or family arms. (BTW, there is no such thing as a “crest of arms”, either.)
