A Few Internet Design Trends You Can Use for Presentation Folder Design
In today’s world of folder printing and design, it is not enough to just use the same old design concepts. Especially for your new presentation folders, it is important that you take your folder printing and design into the 21st century by using a few design trends that are happening on the Internet. Yes The Internet! It is where all the design innovations are taking place. Luckily for you, I have here a list of the easiest design trends that you can easily apply to your custom folder designs. This should help you make great presentation folders that really look up to date and in with the times.
• Using bright colors – One of the simplest design trends that are ideal to follow from the Internet today is the color schemes. If you look at most of the Web 2.0 websites out there, the common element in most of their color schemes is that they use bright new colors. That is right! The new “in thing” is bright, colourful and energetic with design color schemes. This is your target for your own presentation folder printing.
Dump all the dark colors and the drab gray or the plain white in your folder design. You must inject some energetic colors such as light blue, canary yellow, bright orange, lime green etc. These are the colors that people usually see in websites like Facebook, Twitter and all the other new web 2.0 sites. By adopting those colors in presentation folders, you can use that positive color energy to help improve your folder prints. So go bright and colourful, it is the new in thing that helps make your custom folders look new as well.
• Glossy and embossed effects – Another common trend in design that you should follow is the glossy or embossed effect. If you carefully look at the letters and symbols in most new websites today, you will see that they usually use special design effects that make those letters and symbols look embossed and glossy. This is done through the use of light gleam effects plus subtle shadows. This makes those design elements pop up, giving a more vibrant design.
You should also of course apply this to your folder printing. This is easy enough to apply using simple design software, such as Corel Draw or Adobe Photoshop. Try to do it yourself, or maybe have an expert artist apply those effects for you. It is worth investing in this effect to make your design elements a little bit more visible.
• Color gradients and blending – When it comes to the variations of colors on the other hand, a very common design trend from the internet today is the use of color gradients and expert color blending. In custom folder printing, you can apply the same by dumping single color backgrounds and using a blending of colors for your presentation folders. This gives some texture and variation to an otherwise blank background, making the overall design look more natural and real to people.
• More curves less hard edges – It is also a fact that in most web designs today, we see more curves than hard edges. You should take note of this and use it for your presentation folder designs. Instead of using hard edged boxes and text in your folder design, you should smoothen things up and use ellipses, curves, circles and twirls. By using all these soft, smooth elements in your design lines, you make your color folders look more dynamic, changing and of course very up to date in its design.
• Using new style fonts – Finally, you should also try to match the new font styles being used today on the Internet. Believe me, just a change of font from the classic times new roman and Arial, to something new like Calibri can make a subtle but telltale difference. You can define eras by fonts (remember those 70′s and 80′s fonts?), and by using the newest fonts of the new age in the Internet, you can set your folder’s design theme to something that is present and current.
