Etched Glass Window Film: Privacy And Beauty Redefined

The use of etched glass started centuries ago. Glass etching is a technique for turning glass into a work of art using acidic, corrosive, and abrasive materials. In the 1650’s, etched design on mirrors was achieved by diamond-point etching. A Different technique developed in Holland and Germany became popular with which glass is etched or processed with a rotating copper wheel or disk in a lathe machine, the edge of which is loaded with coarse powder. The mold-etch procedure was formulated in the 1920’s, in which the design was etched directly into the mold so that it is already transferred to the glass after being cast.

These days, companies have found a more simplified and quicker means to design glass with the classic etched designs by reproducing art on vinyl film that can be easily installed, taken out, and reused.
