With the advent of Indian Hollywood channels targeting the Hollywood movie fan base in India, international masterpieces are a click away for the Indian audience. But the next time you watch a Hollywood movie on your TV try to visualize it in its stages of
evolutions. The reason behind saying so is to realize the effort put behind a movie by a group of people so dedicated to entertain you that they go to the extremes. Words like larger than life or unbelievable are a common terminology when you watch a Hollywood classic. From a James Cameron classic to an Adam Sandler comedy, each movie has its own theme and its own unique way of narrating it.

In comparison to the generation before us we are quite a lucky lot when we compare our access to Hollywood cinema with theirs. Something that was rare then, is a comfort today. If taken a look at the movies scheduled on Sony Pix, one of the leading Hollywood channels in India, one would realize how closer we are to international cinema in comparison to our ancestors. Yet many of us lack the eye to watch these Hollywood masterpieces the way they are meant to be. You don’t need an inborn talent to look at a movie in a different light but just an understanding of the effort put behind making it and it will enhance your enhance   your movie watching experience. After all, with credit to any movie that we may think is good, bad or is a complete failure, the fact of the matter is that a group of people worked on it for several months or maybe years so that we can watch it in 2 hours and pronounce our verdict.

When we sit down to watch a movie, we do it for our own reasons. Some of us want to get entertained; some want a get away and many think of movies & their characters as a surreal & entertaining version of themselves. May be this is the reason why movies are considered a major grander platform when compared to television. But to television’s credit, channels like pix TV have devised a way of getting movie down its platform & to the average Indian audience, making them a daily watch for its audience, in the words of THE GODFATHER- DON VITO CORELONE …”It’s an offer you can’t refuse”…
