How to stop a fixed column on dreamweaver to stop scrolling at a certain point?

I am creating a website where the buttons on the side are fixed to scroll as the viewer scrolls. But it scrolls too far down and off the webpage. How do I stop it from being fixed at a certain point before the webpage ends?

Could probably tell you if you had given a link to the page where the problem is. With nothing to work with, no way would I even guess at this.
