Hunter jumper show braids?
my first show that’s not a “fun show” with games and stuff is this saturday and i’m deciding how to braid my horses mane
My mare bella is nice and thick with a bunch of muscle on her neck and butt. she is a palomino quarter if it matters
the braids are meant to make her better so i was debating what braids i should use on her tail and mane.
the braids for the mane are: regular hunter fold under braids, or scalloped braids
the braids of the tails are: french with a wrap finnish, french with a pinwheel finnish, dutch with a loop finnish, regular french or regular dutch
i like all theses braid and have practiced them all on bella and other horses but i can’t tell which one will accentuate her neck and butt the most, also if you chose a crazy tail finnish don’t pick the scalloped braid and vice versa.

With horses that have muscular necks I love the regular hunter fold under braid style. It really helps give tone to their neck muscles.
