california knife laws?

Is a folding hunter knife legal in california I saw one in hardware store and I think it was about 10 or 11 inches I may be exaggerating but you get my point can anybody help me ?

Concealed carry includes any dirk, dirk knife, bowie knife, dagger, pistol, revolver, or any other deadly or dangerous weapon. San Francisco and Oakland have 3″ blade length limit, as well as Los Angeles. Pocket knives, most likely that’d be a folding knife are legal, while switchblades, gravity and ballisong knives are illegal. State California allows for concealed carry of the FOLDING KNIFES and there is no limit to the blade length.

For the purposes of this section, “switchblade knife” means a knife having the appearance of a pocketknife and includes a spring-blade knife, snap-blade knife, gravity knife or any other similar type knife, the blade or blades of which are two or more inches in length and which can be released automatically by a flick of a button, pressure on the handle, flip of the wrist or other mechanical device, or is released by the weight of the blade or by any type of mechanism whatsoever.

That’s your limit dude no switch blades. No fixed knifes concealed.

My verdict….your knife is perfectly legal. Have fun with it. And if asked if your carrying a weapon, state that you are carrying a blade legal under Californian law.
