What should I wear my gray babydoll dress with?

Just today I bought a big, roomy baby-doll style gray dress with thin silver pinstriping, cut straight across the bust and with thick straps and big pockets, from walmart for thirteen bucks. It’s really cute, but I’m at a loss as to what to pair it with. I have some ideas, but want opinions. What should I wear it with?

For day:
leggings/tights a cardigan and flats (in red, gray and black to match the dress)
For night:
black tights and silver heels or gray tights and black or red heels.

Really, just wear whatever you are most comfortable with. You can change the look of an outfit with accessories and makeup.
