Hard Water Stains – Top Tips to Remove Them From Shower Doors

One of the biggest problems that hard water can cause in and around the home is the ugly hard water stains and limescale found on shower doors. We all know how embarrassing it can be when we have guests round who visit the bathroom and we know they will see the horrible white/yellow stains all down the shower curtain or door.

Well, there is a simple solution to this, and it does not have to be expensive. There are some simple natural solutions that can be used to remove hard water stains and limescale that have been proven to work and will guarantee to remove the stains and your embarrassment in no time! Below is a tried and tested technique that uses a completely natural household acid to dissolve away the hard water stains and leave your shower door looking brand new.

Natural Formula to Use: – Pure white vinegar

Method to Use:

1. Fill a clean spray bottle with pure vinegar
2. Spray the vinegar freely over the shower door and wait for a few minutes
3. If stains are stubborn spray more vinegar and wait a while longer
4. Scrub lightly with a soft sponge or cloth and rinse

It is perfectly possible to use “normal” malt vinegar (the brown kind) in the method above, however, the only problem is the smell of vinegar after use. The benefit of white vinegar is that it does not leave the pungent smell afterwards, but is just as effective to remove the hard water stains as the brown stuff. Give it a try and hopefully if will save you hundreds of dollars buying expensive and potentially dangerous chemicals to remove them.
