Props – not just for theatre and film

Traditionally props were used by theatrical troupes as they travelled from place to place performing various plays and entertainments. The term ‘prop’ is even taken from this era, meaning ‘company property’. Today props are still used in theatre, and now for television and film, helping to enhance the believability of both the story and the situation.

However props are not only used on the stage or in front of the camera. Anyone can hire props, whether for a themed party, a photo shoot, a corporate event or a presentation. The point is that props are able to enhance any scene or situation, and act as a strong visual to engage your audience.
