The nine ground floor rooms are in the flowery orchard garden & are all double or twin size en-suite. They have central heating, tea & coffee making facilities, with fresh milk and homemade biscuits, digital flat screen T. V, radio, direct dial telephone with modem connection, hairdryer & refrigerator. All bathrooms have baths with power shower attachments. The three de-luxe rooms in the converted stable block are more spacious with Wifi access via BT Openzone, and individual  decor and furnishings.

Cancellations: 24  HOURS NOTICE PLEASE (see policy below)

What does the term Cancellation Policy mean?
This refers to the time limit in advance of arrival, before which you are entitled to cancel your booking without incurring a charge. In other words we have a cancellation policy of 24 hours prior to arrival, if  you cancel  one room prior to this time, then you will not incur a charge. However if you cancel less than 24 hours prior to arrival, then a charge will be incurred. This charge will normally be equal to the first night's accommodation. Different rules apply to two rooms or more or longer stays. Please enquire when booking (added 21st July 2006)

We are proud of our Dogs Welcome policy and guests have been bringing their dogs to The Knife & Cleaver Inn for many years. In the interests of hygiene and the comfort of our other guests, we would appreciate it if you could kindly adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Please don’t allow your dog to get on the bed or other furniture.
  2. On wet & muddy days please dry your dog before allowing him into the room
  3. We charge £6 per dog, per night and must be notified in advance if your dog will be staying.
  4. Please keep your dog on a lead at all times while in our garden or car park.
  5. With the exception of guide dogs, we do not allow dogs in the bar or restaurant.
  6. Please don't allow your dog to foul the garden or car park.
