Breguet’s ‘La Tradition’ Is The Perfect Vintage-Style Watch
Along with the fast paced development of technology, traditional and beauty-obsessed watch manufacturers have also been trying to find ways to marry traditionally inspired pieces with the evolving times.
It has been a constant process to source inspiration from their tradition, while keeping up with the constantly changing times. The Breguet Tradition 7037 is a classic example of a perfectly designed piece that has successfully merged tradition and innovation.
The Breguet Tradition 7037 exudes a vintage appearance. It makes use of the gliding technique, very much similar to that of pocket watches during the 18th and 19th century. This makes it possible to admire its exquisiteness inside and out through its hollow out design.
Inspired by the Tradition 7027, the Breguet Tradition 7037 houses a self-winding movement that is visible from either side of the main plate made of scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass on both front and back panels. It features a retrograde “seconds” display that is engraved on the face of the movement.
One astonishing feature is the central barrel that took 4 years for Breguet to develop. It also boasts of the two-layer hairspring to protect the parachute shock absorbers to perfectly come together with its 18K white gold case and crocodile leather strap. Its off-centered hour and minute subdial, the classic Clous de Paris look, gives the Breguet 7037 a more balanced and symmetrical overall appearance. It has an 18K silvered gold hand engraved dial on a rose engine that is accentuated by black Roman numerals and blue-steeled Breguet hands. It comes with The Breguet 7037 has a 50-hour power reserve indicator and is water resistant up to 30 meters.
